Nelson Mandela first ANC president of South Africa (1918 to 2013)

GM Pumps CC, the distributors of Seko chemical dosing and metering pumps in KZN, South Africa, joins the country in remembering the life and contribution to the South African population of Nelson Mandela as the country mourns/celebrates this African leader.

Ex President Nelson Mandela passed away on the 5th December 2013 aged 95.

The ANC government and party has lost their living icon and now will need to either adopt his guiding principles for democratic, all inclusive, peaceful and transparent governance and society, or ignore the legacy of Nelson Mandela.

We salute Nelson Mandela for his leadership at a time when the whole country needed him. As a small business in South Africa, we work through each day hoping that the current government will embrace his principles for leadership and the vision for the development of every citizen of this wonderful country.

Nelson Mandela is especially remembered for his love of children of all races, it is fitting therefore that every child, regardless of race, should be afforded the opportunity to embrace a future of their choosing in South Africa. Every child should be able to look forward to contributing to the nation as a South African.  A dream many non black children will not be able to realise under present laws.

It will take a very wise African leader to bring to fruition this inclusive vision of Nelson Mandela. It will take a leader who is self less and not self enriching. A servant of the people, not a self serving throne sitter.

Our prayers are with the country and especially the ANC government and her leaders for such a one as this.
